JUAN VICENTE ALIAGA

Is professor at Polytechnic University of Valencia (Fine Arts Faculty) and correspondent of Artforum (Spain). He is author of the Following books: Underbelly: Representations of sexuality in culture and contemporary art (1997), Art and Gender (2004), and Order phallic. Androcentric and gender violence in the twentieth century artistic practice (2007). He has also been curator of the following shows: Valie Export (Camden Arts Centre, London, 2004), Hannah Hoch (Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid, 2004) Pepe Espaliú (Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid, 2003), Micropolitics. Art and everyday life: 2001-1968 (EACC, Castelló, 2003), Claude Cahun (IVAM, Valencia, 1999), Miroslaw Balka (IVAM, Valencia, 1997).
