gvc estimulates the creation of collaborative networks opearting across diverse research and geographical areas. Since 2007, these networks have involved scholars, artists, editors, critics, and researchers from diverse parts of the globe and have brung together museums, research institutes, independent organizations and academic departments. Through these networks, gvc seeks to set up new cross-cultural approaches to visuality, contemporary art, globalization, geopolitics, and aesthetics. These collaborative platforms has been conceived not only as researching communities but rather as politically engaged bridges between academic institutions and social/cultural organizations.
