RAFAEL PINILLA

Holds a degree in Art History, Master of Advanced Studies in History of Art, and Advanced Studies Degree(DEA) by the Universitat de Barcelona. His area of research is focused on the study of cultural tourism and the analysis of contemporary artistic practices and their relationship with the economic theory. He obtained the Prize of Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’ Amics del Pais (SEBAP) for the research project Economía turismo y arte ante el capitalismo cultural. ¿Un nuevo mapa de Barcelona?, it has published articles in catalogues (La Memoria del Otro, Bogotá y Santiago de Chile), on-line magazines (Interartive, Salonkritik, Universitat de Barcelona), spoke at conferences, seminars, and symposiums (Arts Santa Monica, Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid), and has collaborated with diverse exhibition projects (Museo de Arte de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá; Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago de Chile).
